Bust-A-Move
103K plays 1994 #Puzzle
Bust-A-Move (Puzzle Bobble in Japan) is Taito’s 1994 puzzle game starring Bub and Bob, the bubble dragons from Bubble Bobble. A field of coloured bubbles hangs from the ceiling; you aim a launcher at the bottom of the screen and fire bubbles up into it.
A shot stops as soon as it touches another bubble or the ceiling, and it can bank off the side walls. Connect three or more of the same colour and they pop — along with every bubble that was only hanging on by them.
Every few shots the ceiling drops a row. Clear the board before any bubble crosses the line at the bottom and you move on to the next round; the one-player game runs 32 rounds. In two-player mode each player gets a board with the same layout, and big combos send junk bubbles over to the opponent.
