The Super Nintendo (Super Famicom in Japan) arrived in 1990 in Japan and 1991 in North America. Mode 7, which scales and rotates a background layer, and a sound chip designed at Sony gave its games their look and sound.
Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Donkey Kong Country and Street Fighter II all came out here. On YouConsoles, SNES games can also be played online with a friend.
